| A Gourmet Affair was born out of our love for cooking, enjoying a glass
of wine and entertaining friends and family. When people come to our
kitchen, we want them to have a delightful experience in a warm
inviting atmosphere, rather than feel like they are doing a boring,
mundane chore. Enjoy delicious appetizers, aromatic coffees,
interesting wines and delectable desserts. Sink in our comfy couches.
Relax by the fireplace. Enjoy! |

Growing up in rural Nebraska, dinnertime was always family
time in our household. Not a night went by that we didn't sit
down as a family and talk about our day. Watching my mom in the
kitchen everyday inspired me every bit as much as her gracious
hospitality to family and friends on special occasions. Now that
she is no longer with us, the values she instilled in me as a
young girl have given me the desire to get families back around
the dinner table enjoying each other's company.

As I grew up in a small town in Northwest Missouri, one of my
favorite memories is of my Aunt Sally baking cinnamon rolls
for friends and family around the holidays. Even when I was in
college, Aunt Sally would surprise us and come cook for my
friends and me. I looked forward to every visit because I knew
there would be delicious food and sweet treats. Even though those visits are few
and far between now, her kind, giving spirit gave me the desire to put great
tasting, healthy meals on the tables of busy families. |
